The 31st Annual Ride for the Pass will take place on Saturday, May 17, 2025, offering cyclists a rare opportunity to ride up the scenic Independence Pass before it opens to vehicles for the season. This beloved community event supports the Independence Pass Foundation and its mission to preserve and protect the ecological, historical, and aesthetic integrity of the Pass.
Riders can choose between a 10-mile timed ride to the Independence ghost town with a 2,300-foot elevation gain, a 2-mile untimed family-friendly ride to Weller Lake, or a 10-mile untimed e-bike ride.
